Dear Friends & Faithful Supporters,
SUMMER MINISTRY RESULTS
This year we had our busiest summer schedule yet! The week at S.M.I.T.E. camp went very well. We had (317) in attendance, (51) clubs held each day, (1,143) children enrolled, and (248) saved! The last Saturday of May, we held services at the Avoyelles Correctional Institute. We had about (140) men attend the service that night, with (1) inmate receiving Christ as his Saviour! On June 6th my wife and I had the opportunity to set up our “Colors of Hope” tent one more time, before the summer heat got too strong. We were able to share the Gospel with over (85) people, and give encouragement to many more!
July has been extremely busy with three straight weeks of VBS and 5-Day Bible Clubs. The New Orleans Blitz was an exciting week, as (56) people held (50) clubs per day, with (1,607) children enrolled and (587) saved! One of those saved was a mother that came with her children to our last club. After hearing the Gospel given during the Bible Lesson, she quickly expressed her desire to be saved. Praise the Lord! As soon as I left New Orleans, my family and I headed to Alabama to help my brother’s church with their VBS. It was an exhausting week, but the Lord blessed with an average of (60) each night and (2) saved. The very next week, we were back in our home area to oversee our Livingston Blitz. Once again, the Lord gave us a very good week of Bible clubs. We had (20) workers that held (8) clubs each day, with (202) enrolled, and (27) saved! Praise the Lord for such a busy yet productive summer!
LEAVING FOR NIGERIA
As I finish writing this letter, my wife is helping me wrap up the final bit of packing for my trip to Africa. I will be leaving August 5th and returning August 19th! Much preparation has gone into this mission trip, and we are praying for Lord to do a great work while in the country of Nigeria. It has been a step of faith financially to plan this trip into my schedule, but the Lord once again has proven Himself faithful to our family. We can now say that the cost of this trip has been covered, through the love offerings and gifts we received! This trip will complete our summer schedule, and we will soon start preparing for school once again. Please take some time over the next 2 weeks and remember this trip in prayer!
Heading to Jamaica!
Though my trip to Nigeria is just starting, I am already working on my next mission trip opportunity in February! I’ve been invited to join my pastor and another missionary, as they go for a week of ministry in Jamaica. This will be my first trip to this country, and I’m looking forward to what the Lord has in store for us there.
If you would like to help financially with this trip, and the Lord would lead you to do so, please mail all donations to our sending church for Account #230. (Address Located Below)
