Prayer Letter – April 2010
Dear Praying Friends,
BLESSING UPON BLESSING
Lately my wife and I have been thinking about the last six years of ministry. We have been reminiscing over the blessings of the Lord, and just how good God has been to our family. Six years ago I quit my job with only $50 a month income. As we stepped out on faith trying to raise our support for the ministry, God tremendously blessed us with numerous meetings and additional support in the first few months. We never went without!!! God always provided everything that we needed, with a few added blessing on top of that. Just recently He has blessed us with a much needed vehicle and some extra funds so I can finish the next step in the office that we are building. Our God has been better to us than we could ever imagine!
BEING AN ANSWER TO PRAYER
Recently in one of our schools, a young lady stopped me to ask how I was doing. It had been two years since she was in one of my classes, but she still remembered me as “The Tater Guy”. As we talked about her future plans, the Lord began opening a door to give her some godly advice and counsel. After receiving a clear testimony of her salvation, we spent the next forty-five minutes discussing the importance of doing God’s will and how to find it. She was so eager to receive what I had to say, and very appreciative that I would take the time to help her! The following day I was back in that same school to finish some remaining classes. While changing classrooms I heard a teacher call my name. Turning to see who it was, I instantly recognized her to be the mother of the young lady I had talk to the day before. She began to explain to me how much her daughter enjoyed the discussion we had about doing God’s will, and just how much it helped her! The mother continued to tell me all the things her daughter had said about our talk, but the greatest blessing of all was when she told me that I was an answer to prayer for her daughter that day!! What a great honor and privilege it is to serve the Lord and be a blessing to others!
SATAN KEEPS FIGHTING
Over the last couple of months I have spent many hours on the ROA websites trying to keep them updated. One particular site Satan has fought from the start. Though it appears that the problems we were having are now taken care of, I do ask that you continue to pray for us in this additional area of ministry! Satan hates it when we have an opportunity to reach people with the gospel, and he has proven that he will fight whatever we do for the Lord. We ask that you please continue to keep our family and ministry before the Lord in prayer!
In His Service,
The Deckers
